Unconventional superconductivity in magic-angle twisted trilayer graphene

Abstract Magic-angle twisted trilayer graphene (MATTG) recently emerged as a highly tunable platform for studying correlated phases of matter, such insulators and superconductivity. Superconductivity occurs in range doping levels that is bounded by van Hove singularities, which stimulates the debate origin nature superconductivity this material. In work, we discuss role spin-fluctuations arising from atomic-scale correlations MATTG superconducting state. We show phase diagram function ( ν ) temperature, nematic regions are surrounded ferromagnetic states dome with T c ≈ 2 K appears between integer fillings = −2 −3. Applying perpendicular electric field enhances on electron-doped side relate to changes spin-fluctuation spectrum. unconventional leads pronounced signatures local density detectable scanning tunneling spectroscopy measurements.
